John LaCasse is a community theater veteran. His favorite roles include Willie Clark in the Neil Simon’s The Sunshine Boys and Uncle Willy in High Society. He has also directed plays and appeared in movies and audio books.

Peter Moller recently retired from Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Public Communications where he taught courses in film and television production/writing/history/criticism, directing, acting and screenwriting. He is the co-author of MAKING TELEVISION PROGRAMS and HURRY UP AND WAIT. He is a founding member of the playwrights’ collective, Armory Square Playwrights.

Kristina Bell is a high school student and has been involved in performance since childhood. Happy Republic was her first experience in film and it was nothing but a positive one.

Binaifer Dabu has performed in India, Boston, and Syracuse, performing in numerous productions with various theatre companies, independent film projects, and commercials.  She has been the recipient of several awards, receiving recognition for her work in theater and in her professional career, including the Times of India Award.

Colleen Deitrich is a 25-year-old youth advocate from Liverpool, NY. She has been acting on the stage since

the age of five and continues to appear in theatrical productions and comedy improv performances in Syracuse. This is her first time starring in a film.  

Tom Minion has appeared in numerous stage productions in the Syracuse area. He is now retired and enjoyed his stay in the Happy Republic. He has appeared in other films including Clay and King Lee.

 

 

Alex Poplawski was born and raised in Syracuse, NY.  While  living in Orlando, FL. he worked as a college intern at Walt Disney World. An aspiring actor and film writer Alex had the opportunity to play an extra in an independent film shot in Syracuse called “Adult World” starring Emma Roberts, John Cusack, and Evan Peters.

An accomplished actor in television and film Frank Shattuck is best known for his roles in the HBO series Boardwalk Empire and NBC's Law and Order.

Kathy Burke Egloff  has been involved with several community theater groups in and around Syracuse including Appleseed Productions, Baldwinsville Theatre Guild, CNY Playhouse, The Redhouse, Syracuse Shakespeare Festival and Theatre First Productions.  She is also principle flute in the Onondaga Civic Symphony.
